LC Valley Youth Resource Center

Michelle & Ed King

Every night, approximately 30 displaced teens across the LC Valley are looking for a safe place to sleep. Working alongside local law enforcement, local school districts, and child services, the Center helps fill the gaps between existing programs for teens. They provide an after-school drop-in center including snacks, dinner, showers, laundry and a safe place for homework and socialization. They also provide overnight accommodations for up to 16 displaced teens each night.

Reliance Center

Heather & Richard Lawless

The mission of Reliance Center is to provide a four-part wholistic model for services. Their goal is to help eliminate the need for abortion, break destructive cycles in the lives of those they serve, and provide real tools for men and women to live the most abundant lives possible.

Homes of Hope

Cheryl Allman & Bobbi Jo Bruni

Homes of Hope provides training, coaching, and resources for foster, adoptive and biological parents (in the foster care system) of children who have experienced trauma and loss. They collaborate with foster care state agencies and social workers in eight counties in Washington and Idaho to fill in the gaps which in-service state agencies do not provide. They believe all children deserve a save, nurturing, permanent and loving family.

Family Promise

With the help of a network of congregations and volunteers, they meet the immediate needs of homeless families for shelter, meals and comprehensive support services. They work with up to three families at a time, with the typical guest being a single mom with young children.

YoungLife

Tyler & Courtney Kammers

YoungLife’s mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. They go to where kids are, on their turf and in their culture, to build bridges of authentic relationship with them. These relationships don’t happen overnight. It takes time, patience, and consistency to build trust—but the kids are worth it!
